When are the guidelines on resuscitation changing?

In November 2005, the 2005 International Consensus on Cardiopulmonary (CPR) and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science and Treatment Recommendations were published simultaneously in the journals Circulation and Resuscitation. The recommendations provide a summary of the science and some treatment recommendations; it will not contain the new resuscitation guidelines. The European Resuscitation Council (ERC) published its new guidelines in the journal Resuscitation in December 2005, and the Resuscitation Council (UK) guidelines were published shortly afterwards.

Survival-linX fully updated all their instuctors, teaching material and handouts in November 2005.  Survival-linX has been providing training using the new guidelines since February 2006.

The next change in guidelines will be announced at the UK resuscitation guidelines launch symposium on 18th November 2010.
